故事产生在1800年代中期荷属东印度群岛殖平易近时期，一群布景各别的人起身反抗总督的残暴统治，不久便掌控荷军驻扎过的格里斯小镇。片中剧情围绕着数个拥有不同布景与信念的怪异脚色发展，他们联络一致全力脱节暴政的钳制，争夺决定本人命运的机遇。
